Hi Friends,
It’s new Apple products week and can I just saw that I’m so happy to be going back to a gold phone for the first time since 2015? I’m sure I’ll be talking iPhone 13 on The Teatime Show in the next few weeks, but I’m just enjoying looking at it right now. Also, I was able to return from the annoyances of a big phone and that’s delightful as well.
There’s all the debates about tech specs and missing features and the logic of upgrading to a new phone, however, I’ll save that for the podcast.
As far as reading goes, I’m still deep in the Tortall Universe. I wrapped up the Lioness Alanna’s story last week and now I’m immersed in the Immortals Quartet with Daine and her remarkable abilities.
The funny thing is that I’m also getting close to the point where I won’t have a cushion of reviews anymore. Within a matter of weeks, I’ll be back within one or two weeks of the present day. It’s what I wanted, but the pressure is back on as far as it goes for me finding books to read and review.
It’s kinda exciting.
Without any more ado, though, here’s the past week on Teatime Reading.
On Monday, I read a book about powering up your mind with various strategies and techniques.
On Tuesday, I read a book about climate change and the things we could do to play our part.
On Wednesday, I read a fascinating sequel to the Truly Devious YA trilogy.
On Thursday, I flipped through a beautiful cookbook.
On Friday, I read about making friends as an adult
This week was very heavy on non-fiction books, and all of them were interesting enough. However, Billy Baker’s book titled We Need to Hang Out (featured on Friday in episode 663) was a truly unexpected read.
Also, The Box in the Woods was a fun follow-up to the Truly Devious trilogy and I loved seeing more character development from Stevie Bell and her friends.
Thanks, as always, for reading along with me.
Until next time, keep your bookmarks close.
Peace, Love, Pages,
Chaitanyaa Bhatt
